Born with "sand in his shoes" in Miami Beach, Florida, Rabbi Mordechai Weiss made Aliyah with his family in 2003. Before making Aliyah, he served for 21 years as a community Rabbi in Teaneck, New Jersey. During his "spare" time he served as an EMT for the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps as well as serving as chaplain for them, the fire department and the jail. Today, Rabbi Weiss and his family call the beautiful community of Mitzpe Yericho their home. Located in the Judean Desert, the community boasts a spectacular lookout over the city of Jericho. It is definitely worth a stopover on your way to the Dead Sea. Rabbi Weiss is a "people person", and as such greatly enjoys the company of the varied tourists he has had the opportunity to share both his knowledge and love of Israel with. As the father of 12 wonderful children, he possesses great experience with ensuring maximum enjoyment for family trips. Web: www.rabbiguide.com What clients are saying about Rabbi Mordechai Weiss Dear Rabbi Weiss, Although a few months have now passed, the feelings of our wonderful trip are still fresh in our minds. It was by far the best vacation we have ever had:--fun, meaningful, educational (wouldn't say that to the kids!), spiritual and a great time for family togetherness. In fact, "vacation" doesn't seem quite the right word--it was not a getaway, it was all about being closer…to our religion, heritage and each other. We owe so much to you in making this such a memorable experience. Your thoughtful insights, good humor, patience and flexibility were always apparent. You seemed to know just how to relate to each of the personalities (and moods) to perform the delicate task of keeping everyone happy all the time. We can't wait to see you again in Israel. Marty Thank you very much for the tour you gave us. It was excellent. My girls have been to Israel a few times and at Masada 2 or 3 times and they both said that your tour was the best. You showed and taught a lot more than they experienced before. Mendel Dubinsky I writing to thank you once again for the most wonderful trip. I learned a lot - even though this was my fourth time volunteering as a Birthright trip leader. The students had a great time and were truly inspired by your passion and knowledge. This was indeed an exceptional trip with an exceptional tour guide! As someone who has observed many BR trips, I can tell you first hand that the tour guide is what makes the trip... -- thank you again for the most amazing experience! Rabbi Eli Gurevitz |
