    Chabad in Israel

Embark on a spiritual odyssey and trace the history, challenges and development of the Chabad Movement in Israel from its humble beginnings in Hevron’s “Avraham Avinu” neighborhood to the vibrant, country-wide network, centered today in Kfar Chabad.

Follow in the footsteps of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson o.b.m. who journeyed to the Holy Land during the turbulent days of 1929 and learn the sichos of the Rabbeim revealing the hidden aspects of the holiness of Yerushalayim, the Beis HaMikdosh & Eretz Yisroel. Contemplate the modern history of Zionism and the State of Israel from a Chabad-perspective and encounter the leaders, generals, politicians and every-day folk whose lives and decisions have been impacted by Chabad and its emissaries.

While the actual tour depends on the amount of time you have handy, some of the themes and topics covered, may include the following:

    • Hevron – The Mittler Rebbe’s shul in the Avraham Avinu neighborhood, the Rebbetzin Menucha Rochel and the Slonim Dynasty, the pogroms in 1929. The story of Sarah Nachshon one of the pioneers who reestablished a Jewish presence in Hevron after the Six Day War.
    • Jerusalem – Tzemach Tzedek Shul; the visit of the Friediker Rebbe in 1929; story of Moshe Zvi Segal who was arrested by British for blowing Shofar on Yom Kippur in 1932 and who reclaimed the Tzemach Tzedek shul for Chabad after 1967.
    • Kfar Chabad – established by order of the Friediker Rebbe in 1948. Visit to Esrog orchards and 770.
    • Shluchim – Visit Shluchim in small communities and cities, along the borders and in danger zones.
